I haven’t seen this movie yet, I’ll wait for the dvd, a str8 girlfriend of mine saw it and said it was a insult to gay men. From this scene not to me but I guess to sit through almost 2 hours of him doing stereotypical gay characters I could see how one would feel like it was more about laughing at gay people than laughing with them.
yeah, it is from his old tv show – not the movie. I saw the movie, and I wasn’t personally insulted but some people are. I guess it just depends on your views i guess. It was purposefully offensive though, in the same manner as Borat, but I don’t think it was to make fun necessarily, it just didn’t shed a particularly good light on the gay community.
This isnt from the movie, not sure where its from. I am a gay guy and I saw that movie. it was HILARIOUS, and not really an insult to gay men but more so showing how OTHER people are towards gay people and other stupid stereotypes. I figured few people would actually see what Cohen was trying to say and show about our society in this film, amongst the laughs. My friends and I did. Especially when he went to alabama to an Ex-gay church to become “straight”, and even gay marriage in California.

I don’t think this particular scene is from the movie, I think it’s from his old TV show that Sacha Baron Cohen used to have.
