  1. this is a bit disturbing as these guys are very attractive and very sweet normal guys. this is a symptom of society at large and also society within the gay community. i fully know where some of these guys are coming from about how they are treated and perceived by other gay man. its such a shame.

  2. I am 20 years old, 100% gay, I’m a senior in college, I have a job, I support myself, I am smart, I am attractive, and I do not have any interest in casual hooking up, and all I want in life is a HUSBAND, and children. The fact of the matter is, is that it is much easier to find people to hook up with, than to find people to date. People just need to figure out who they are, and then just be true to themselves, and society shouldn’t matter. I haven’t had a date in over a year, and I’m totally ok with that, and I would rather be single than give in and have a casual hook up. Stereotypes are called stereotypes for a reason, and people need to realize that you can be gay, and live a normal life at the same time. Nothing worth having is easy to obtain.

  6. I have a gay friend who was on the fence about prop 8 mainly due to his christian religion. I think it is unfair for anyone to put down any person due to the way they were born, and many religions do this, yet say that god accepts everyone. All it does is create more hate in the world, more confusion, and more separation between people.

  7. …p.s and he told me he ended up voting YES.

Society is too focus on one lifestyle, things need to be about everyone. Sucks that if any company puts an add leaning towards gay people, church people start protesting

  8. THe comment on gay guys being “weak” was offensive to me in the sense that all he did was create stereotypes. He created stereotypes for gays, straight men, and women, and he decided that anyone who didn’t fit into those stereotypes was wrong.

We need to realize that people have the right to be who they are, regardless of how “effeminate” they act and to not just accept them but embrace them for it.

  9. there has to be a faker in there. if i’d been living my life with a “straight face” on, i definitely would never go on the tyra show and talk about it!

  10. Well the reality of all this is that most of these guys that go on these shows are on their to be able to break into the “industry”. Basically, fame whores. if they hated being gay, they would not go on public television to talk about it. To be even more honest, this doesn’t make me feel sorry for them: it makes me pity them. I’m sad that they can’t get over the cards they were dealt and live. I mean, I wasn’t dealt the best hands in life, hell: I can’t even get a date because of all the negativity I face daily. But, my reality is I live with it and continue to be the best fem, fat, black gay man I can be. I mean: they need hobbies. Go get your degree, masters or something. Stop sitting and crying because you hate gays. Just because other gay men do this and that does not mean you are apart of that. I have had numerous people tell me, “you make me see gays in a whole new light.”

yea: i don’t feel bad for them, they are just the type of gays who keep hatred going all for a little air time and myspace/facebook twitter clout. Sad. Truly sad.

  11. sometimes its easy to believe a stereotype no matter how untrue it is and even if its about yourself. These images and ideas about people are put into our heads from the time that we are very young and its hard to ignore them. I feel bad for these people just how I sometimes feel bad for myself. the idea of having a string of endless “hookups” feaks the hell out of me but at the same time I don’t want to be alone, sometimes some guidence would be nice

  12. I agree with anonymous. Sometimes some guidance would be nice. It’s like, heterosexual kids have all these heterosexual influences to help with them with heterosexual problems. Where are the gay role models, the gay guidance? It’s out there, more now then ever, but we need more still.

  13. Gay men “weak”? I’m probably the gayest person I know, but there is no way I’m any less stronger than a straight man. I’ve been in so many fights and never lost one.

  14. That first guy was SO confused. Maybe time will help him come to terms with himself.
The married couple? Headed down divorce alley.
The other two gay guys seemed like they were okay, or on the way there.
But man….that first kid…he HATES himself!!! I was really angry at him at first but…I think his self loathing is a product largely of our society, and we can only hope that in time he recovers from it. Most of us do, I like to think.

  15. I only watched the first video but I already gotta comment.. wtf, how can that Shane guy talk negative about feminine gays? As soon as I heard him speak I thought SISSY.. And LOL that girl he was doing reminds me of Condi Ling from Rick and Steve.. The resident alternative lifestyle companion XD ..

Tyra is totally right though.. The real majority of gay males are closet cases. Believe I was one up till a few years ago.. This guy is completely deluded with the medias interpretation of homosexuality.

  16. I think Shane was ridiculous.
The second that boy opened his mouth I thought FAIRY!
The married couple obviously wasn’t happy.
But, the second two, I truly believe were on their way to happiness.
I think they were just finding themselves.
And the last guy, Mark, was so hot.
I just hope that society will change soon.
Because “gay” is the last acceptable prejudice.

  17. I only watched the first video and was deeply concerned… The poor child had “effiminate” written all over him… I agree with the other comments regarding them being “fame queens” trying desperately to get intot he industry… as for “efiminate” gay guys being “weak”? Please… Perhaps he should spend some time with us “effiminates” to see just how “weak” we really are… It takes a lotta balls to walk around the street with an unending “rainbow flag” dancing above your head like a “halo” Lol.. I hope he takes the time to wake up and grow up…
