Johnny Weir & Evan Lysacek @ 2008 Nationals
I don’t know how many of you follow figure skating but I think Johnny was totally ROBBED! But I guess you get what you want when you play the All American Straight (acting) Boy. What a mess.

Am I the only gay man on the planet who actually likes Evan’s skating better? While the results of this particular performance may be argued, I do believe that he has the potential of becoming the best skater. Remember his LP at the Olympics? He brought the house down!
I dunno, there’s something about Weir that I just can’t stomach. And before you say it, no, it’s not his way of dressing or expressing himself. I respect him for being so care-free. It’s his actual skating that turns me off.

No, Andy, not just you. I prefer Evan’s skating too, mostly because I feel like Johnny does the same program over and over.
Obviously it was a close competition, but Lysacek’s step sequence was a lot more intricate than Johnny’s. If Johnny had done the two double toe loops that he omitted, he’d have had enough points to win. He didn’t do them, the points worked out in Evan’s favor… it happens.

ummm evan’s cute and all but i don’t think there’s anything artistic in what he does…it’s all about the jumps for him which im sooo over…there’s more to the sport than just jumping!
I think johnny shoulda won…he had everything in that performance…but oh well in time he’ll have his glory again! GO Johnny!

Also, are you KIDDING ME? Evan’s step-sequence compared to THE ENTIRETY OF WEIR’S PERFORMANCE?!
Weir can out-skate Evan in his SLEEP.
Maybe the reason why you guys like Evan is the same reason why so many people hate Chris Crocker… any gay guy with anything feminine about him is to be hated and killed. Go hetero-masculinity! /sarcasm
